  • When will construction occur?

    Demolition of the Cummings Davis Building and construction of the new Education Center began in May 2017. Renovations to the Museum building will occur in 2018.

  • Is the Museum open?

    Yes! The Museum, including all exhibition galleries, will be open throughout construction of the Education Center.

  • What about parking?

    Throughout construction, FREE parking is available in the Museum’s parking lot, as well as along Cambridge Turnpike and Lexington Road.
    Handicap parking is available in the parking lot, and there is also a dedicated handicap space directly in front of the Museum.

    During Museum hours, free public parking is also available at the Wayside lot (on Lexington and Hawthorne Lane) and free and metered parking is available in Concord Center. (Both are 10-15 minute walk to the Museum.)

  • Where will Museum programs take place during construction of the Education Center?

    Most school and public programs will take place in the Museum building and/or Wright Tavern, located at 2 Lexington Road in Concord Center. Some programs will be held in other locations. Please see www.concordmuseum.org for information about specific programs and locations.

  • Where are the Museum offices?

    During construction of the Education Center, most administrative staff are in temporary offices next to the Museum at 73 Cambridge Turnpike or in the first floor of Wright Tavern. Please call 978-369-9763 x216 or email cm1@concordmuseum.org for more information.
